Principles of Operation
Warm humid air from the structure is drawn into the cold dehumidification coil of the dehumidifier. The temperature of the air is lowered below the dewpoint condition and water (humidity) is collected on the dehumidification coil. During the dehumidification process heat produced as water vapor becomes a liquid. This latent heat is then collected by the refrigerant system along with the heat taken from the entering air stream (sensible heat). Along with the latent heat, the energy used to operate the refrigerating compressor is also collected as heat energy and added to the refrigerant. Latent heat and compressor heat is then transferred by the refrigerant system to the condenser (re-heat) coil of the dehumidifier where it is added back into the air stream. A temperature rise of approximately 20of above the inlet air temperature can be expected.

Total System Comfort Control
The DRYAIRE SYSTEM features an automatic changeover temperature control thermostat. When the relative humidity rises in the enclosure, the de-humidistat will start the dehumidifier. The auto-thermostat checks the room temperature. It will transfer from heating mode to cooling mode maintaining the desired temperature automatically without unnecessary adjustments.

Simple & Easy Installation
Savings of up to 50% in installation time can be achieved when compared to water cooled or desiccant type dehumidification. Design flexibility allows the DRYAIRE SYSTEM to be remote mounted away from the controlled space with conventional supply and return air ducts. Or, if conditions exist where the building structures will not allow ductwork, the dehumidifier will function as a non-ducted (freeblow) system.
