With the addition of the optional remote condenser, the DCA system will provide cool, dry air to the conditioned space. An automatic change-over thermostat allows the system to maintain the desired room temperature whether summer or winter.
The DCA computer designed system takes moisture-laden air from the conditioned space and passes it over the deep-row dehumidification coil. The temperature of this air is lowered to its dew point temperature and water is released to the coil from the air. This air is immediately passed through a reheat coil which raises the temperature equal to a combination of sensible and latent heat from the refrigeration cycle. The air leaving the dehumidifier is 10 to 15 degrees warmer than the air entering. This warmer air adds room heating and is beneficial during the cold months.
